Nestled amidst the high dessert steppe, east of San Martin de los Andes, Rinconada Patagonia Lodge offers guests of PRG North the true Patagonian experience. Located on the expansive Estancia Huechahue, a historic Argentine working ranch spanning approximately 20,000 acres, our lodge immerses you in both the rich local culture and the natural beauty of Patagonia.
At Rinconada, the fishing opportunities are limitless. Guests can explore a different river each day, with options including rivers like the Aluminé, Collon Cura, Malleo, Chimehuín, and others, as well as renowned lakes such as Tromen, Huechulafquen, and Lolog to experience the thrill of sight fishing using dry flies surrounded by breathtaking scenery. For those willing to venture further, rivers like the Filo Hua Hum, Limay, and Caleufu can also be reached.
Our lodge features a spacious main house where guests can enjoy freshly prepared breakfasts, delightful cocktails, and exquisite dinners. Accommodations are thoughtfully arranged in two charming cabins, as well as in the main lodge, with each of our nine rooms offering a private bathroom and all the amenities found in top-tier lodges. When available upon arrival, PRG’s guests will benefit from single occupancy at no extra cost!
For relaxation, guests can unwind in our sauna or massage room, or gather in our impressive “quincho,” where traditional Argentine “asados” are held around a magnificent indoor fire pit. We also have an outdoor fire pit, perfect for enjoying drinks and cigars after a rewarding day of fishing.
In addition to fishing, the staff at Rinconada Patagonia Lodge can arrange a diverse array of non-angling activities, including horseback riding, hiking, birdwatching, kayaking, mountain biking, golfing, and cultural tours. The picturesque town of San Martin de los Andes is just an hour away, perfect for exploration.
Trips as short as 4 days can easily be arranged at Rinconada, and exciting and diverse extended stays can also be added on, including deluxe overnight camping trips and stays at other area estancias. Guests can also combine with PRG’s exclusive Lodge at Trevelin to make their trip the ultimate in variety and scenery.
